For suppliers

Sell direct to the refinery

We buy lithium-ion batteries, battery scrap and black mass in any format, and we are reserving capacity with suppliers now.

What we buy

Batteries, scrap and black mass

From whole EV packs to black mass. Sorted material earns the best price; mixed loads are sampled at receipt and priced on what they contain.

Sign the volume, book the metal

When you commit volume, we can sell the metal in it forward on the exchange and offer you a fixed price or a floor in return. Few buyers in North America can, because few refine scrap to exchange-traded metal here.

Black mass, MHP and sulfates sell at a discount to metal, and that discount cannot be hedged. We are building a plant that refines scrap into metal designed to LME grade, so we can hedge what we sell.

Index-linkedStandard

Your value moves with published metal prices. See where each metal is priced.

Fixed priceTerm agreements

A locked price for the term of your contract, backed by metal we sell forward.

Price floorTerm agreements

Keep the upside of index pricing, with a minimum you can plan around.

Fixed-price and price-floor terms are offered on term agreements, set mainly on the nickel, copper and cobalt in your material. Each lot is valued on a digital model of our plant.

Questions

Selling to Battery Metals, answered

What battery materials do you buy?

EV and energy storage packs, modules and cells; battery manufacturing scrap such as electrode, foil, slurry and off-spec cells; black mass; consumer and portable batteries; mixed loads; and damaged or recalled batteries.

Which battery chemistries do you take?

Nickel- and cobalt-bearing lithium-ion chemistries, including NMC, NCA and LCO. Tell us about other chemistries and we will review them.

How is my material priced?

Battery material is valued by the metal it contains. We assay it, reference each metal to its market price and apply payable terms for chemistry, form and logistics. You receive a per-pound price grid or a metal-linked payment.

Do you take damaged or recalled batteries?

Yes. Damaged and recalled lithium-ion batteries must be packaged and shipped under the U.S. Department of Transportation rules for damaged lithium batteries.

Why sell to a U.S. refinery instead of an exporter?

Much of North America's black mass and battery scrap is shipped abroad to be refined, mostly in Asia. Selling to a domestic refinery keeps the material, and the value of the metal in it, in the United States, with fewer export steps for you.

How do I get started?

Send us your material type, approximate monthly volume and pickup state through our contact form. We are reserving feedstock capacity now, ahead of our 2028 start.
